Česká spořitelna is expanding its premium offering at Václav Havel Airport Prague. From the beginning of July, the bank will open a new Erste Premier Lounge in Terminal 1 for travellers on flights outside the Schengen Area.

Travellers at Prague Airport can look forward to an expanded premium offering from 1 July 2026. In cooperation with Prague Airport, Česká spořitelna is opening a new Erste Premier Lounge in Terminal 1. As a result, the bank will become the only provider on the Czech market operating Erste Premier-branded lounges in both airport terminals.

The new lounge complements the existing Erste Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 and is intended for clients of the Erste Premier and Erste Private Banking programmes. It is designed in particular to provide greater comfort before departure for passengers travelling to destinations outside the Schengen Area.

“The new lounge in Terminal 1 complements the existing Erste Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 and provides our clients with a comfortable environment even when travelling on flights outside the Schengen Area,” said Lukáš Krch of Česká spořitelna, who is responsible for preparing the project. He added that the opening is the result of long-standing cooperation with Prague Airport and also a response to growing demand for comfortable travel options.

According to the bank, almost 100,000 customers already use the Erste Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 each year. The calm atmosphere, working facilities and high-quality service offering are particularly appreciated.

The partnership for operating the new lounge was established following a successful tender process organised by Prague Airport. The two companies subsequently signed a five-year agreement.

“We welcome Česká spořitelna as the new partner of the lounge in Terminal 1. This further strengthens our cooperation with the largest bank on the Czech market and with the renowned Erste Group, one of the most significant financial groups in Central and South-Eastern Europe,” said Jaroslav Petržela, member of the Prague Airport Board and responsible for the company’s commercial activities. The aim of the partnership is to provide travellers with an even higher level of service and a first-class customer experience.

New Erste Premier Lounge Focuses on Innovation

The new Erste Premier Lounge will also feature several digital elements already familiar from Česká spořitelna’s modern Future Lab branch in Prague city centre. Plans include a digital avatar that will serve as an assistant for visitors and provide practical information. In addition, there will be an entertainment area with games.

Another new feature is the option to reserve lounge access online through the George banking app. This is intended to help travellers plan their visit more effectively and avoid waiting times.

The existing Erste Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 already offers guests a wide range of amenities. These include a modern design with a focus on privacy, an all-inclusive food and beverage offering including a staffed bar service, workspaces with soundproof booths and Wi-Fi, an outdoor terrace overlooking the apron, showers, relaxation zones and an interactive children's area.
