Czech Airline Smartwings is expanding its offering from Prague with the 2026/2027 winter timetable. From 23 October, a new direct service to Lisbon will be launched, while the number of flights to Porto, Bilbao and Toulouse will also increase. In addition, the route to Nice will be operated year-round in future.

The new connection between Prague and the Portuguese capital Lisbon will operate three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Lisbon will become the fourth Portuguese destination in the Smartwings route network. The airline already serves Porto, Funchal and Ponta Delgada.

According to the company, ticket sales for the new route have already begun. One-way fares start from CZK 2,934 and include one standard piece of hand luggage.

In addition, from the end of October Smartwings will increase frequencies on its routes to Porto, Bilbao and Toulouse from two to three flights per week. The connection to Nice will also be expanded. While the route has previously only been operated during the summer season, it will in future be served year-round with three weekly flights.

“Thanks to the new connection to Lisbon, travellers will have a direct flight from Prague to one of Europe’s most popular metropolitan destinations without the need to change planes. We have observed growing interest among Czech travellers in attractive European destinations for many years and are therefore continuously expanding our route network,” said Michal Váňa.

In the 2026/2027 winter timetable, Smartwings will offer direct flights from Czech airports to a total of 39 destinations. In addition to the Czech Republic, the airline group is also active in Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
