An immersive space journey, multimedia theatre and an interactive sound robot await visitors at this year’s Signal Festival. The 14th edition will take place in Prague from 15 to 18 October 2026.
The Signal Festival has unveiled the first installations in the paid Signal INSIDE zone and launched advance ticket sales. The zone is celebrating its tenth anniversary and includes eight works by Czech and international artists.
“Signal INSIDE presents outstanding names in media art this year,” says festival founder and director Martin Pošta, who is particularly pleased about the return of Laterna magika and the appearance of American artist Laurie Anderson.
Highlights include “To the Moon” by Laurie Anderson and Hsin-Chien Huang, the “MIMIC.2” light installation by the Media.tribe collective, the Laterna magika production “Water” and the interactive “Sound Robot” by Slovak artist Ján Šicko.

For the first time, one of the festival routes will also lead through a Prague district in which the Signal Festival has not previously been represented. The organisers plan to announce which district it is at a later date.
Space Travel, Light Art and Robotics
One of the highlights is “To the Moon” by Laurie Anderson and Hsin-Chien Huang. The immersive work at Divadlo X10 takes visitors on a 15-minute space journey inspired by science, mythology and science fiction.

Laterna magika returns to the festival with “Water”. The production combines non-verbal theatre, video mapping, acrobatics and live singing. “MIMIC.2” by Media.tribe at the Faculty of Law offers light illusions.
At Kampus Hybernská, visitors can control Ján Šicko’s interactive “Sound Robot” using wooden toys and traditional instruments. Designed primarily for children, the work combines Slovak folk art with modern robotics.
