Tram Model Makers’ Meeting at Prague Public Transport Museum End of August

Historic vehicles in miniature form will take centre stage in Prague at the end of August. Nineteen exhibitors from three countries will present their intricately designed tram models.

On 29 and 30 August 2026, the Public Transport Museum in Prague-Střešovice will present detailed models of Ringhoffer and Tatra trams. This will be the sixth time that model makers and enthusiasts of historic vehicles have gathered at the Public Transport Museum.

This year, 19 exhibitors from three countries will take part in the event. They will present detailed tram models in a variety of scales. Among other things, visitors will be able to compare miniature versions of tram number 200 with the original vehicle in the museum exhibition.

Models of vehicles that are no longer in service or were built only as prototypes at the former Ringhoffer factory in Prague’s Smíchov district will also be on display. Large model railway layouts will also transport visitors to other countries, including Germany.

The moving models are characterised by their elaborate and detailed design. Even the figures, reduced in size by up to 87 times, are based on real people. The T3 Coupé tram designed by Anna Marešová, for example, will be on display.

Sales Stalls Complement the Exhibition

The programme also includes sales stalls offering various items related to public transport. Visitors will be able to purchase paper and plastic models, among other things, potentially laying the foundation for their own collection.

The event will take place on Saturday, 29 August, and Sunday, 30 August 2026, at the Public Transport Museum in Prague-Střešovice. Admission to the exhibition is included in the regular museum entrance fee.

• Adults: CZK 150

• Concessions (children aged 6–15, students up to the age of 26, seniors aged 65 and over): CZK 100

• Family ticket (maximum 2 adults and 3 children): CZK 350

• Free admission: Children under 6, disability card holders and one accompanying person
