US pop star sombr announces Prague concert for May 2027

American singer and songwriter sombr is coming to Prague in May next year. As part of his world tour, the Grammy-nominated musician will perform at the O2 arena.

American singer and songwriter sombr is coming to Prague next year. On 19 May 2027, the Grammy-nominated musician will perform at the O2 arena as part of his “You Are The Reason – World Tour”.

At the concert, fans can look forward to his well-known songs “Back to Friends”, “Undressed” and “12 to 12”, among others, as well as tracks from his debut album “I Barely Know Her”. The newly announced European tour will take the 21-year-old and his band through numerous European countries.

The announcement of the European tour follows the release of SOMBR’s new single “My Body Isn’t Ready”, which was released together with an official music video.

The tour begins on 8 May 2027 at the Unity Arena in Oslo. In addition to the Czech Republic, the tour schedule includes Germany, France, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the United Kingdom, among others. The European tour is scheduled to conclude at London’s O2 Arena on 22 June.

Breakthrough with “Back to Friends”

sombr, whose real name is Shane Boose, is one of the successful newcomers on the international pop scene. The New York-born musician achieved his major breakthrough in 2025 with the single “Back to Friends”. The song reached the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100 and number one on both the global and US Spotify charts. The track also topped the Alternative Radio charts for several weeks.

From the bedroom studio to the big stages

Shane Boose began his musical career in a makeshift bedroom studio on New York’s Lower East Side. He writes his own songs and also serves as co-producer of his entire musical catalogue to date. Musically, sombr combines elements of indie rock with modern pop. Following sold-out concerts in various parts of the world, the “You Are The Reason – World Tour” is now set to bring the singer to some of Europe’s biggest stages next summer.

Tickets for the concert on 19 May 2027 at Prague’s O2 arena are available from CZK 1,900 (plus booking fees), with VIP packages also available. General ticket sales begin on 4 September 2026 at 10:00 via Ticketmaster and Ticketportal.
