From 9 September, Prague Airport can only be reached via a diversion when travelling from the direction of Kladno and Slaný. Travellers should allow more time for their journey due to possible traffic congestion.

A further traffic restriction will affect access to Václav Havel Airport Prague from 9 to 25 September 2026. Drivers travelling from the direction of Kladno and Slaný will be affected.

The exit from the D7 motorway to the airport is closed. Motorists must therefore continue along Lipská Street to the next exit towards Prague, Ruzyně, Terminal 3 and the shopping area. From there, the diversion leads back towards the airport, where travellers can use the standard access route from the direction of Prague.

Due to the additional restriction, increased traffic and possible congestion are expected around the airport, particularly during peak hours.

Travellers should allow sufficient time for their journey to the airport. Alternatively, they are advised to use public transport, which is not affected by the current restriction.
