Sauna Smíchov in Prague Launches Its New Autumn Season

As temperatures fall, Prague’s Vltava island of Císařská louka becomes a cosy retreat once again. This autumn, Sauna Smíchov invites visitors to enjoy private wellness sessions – with discounted prices to mark the start of the season.

With the arrival of the colder months, Sauna Smíchov on Císařská louka is reopening its doors. Located within the Prague Camp grounds, the facility offers visitors a combination of private saunas, a whirlpool and a bar overlooking the Vltava.

Situated directly beside the Vltava, the facility focuses on a private wellness concept. Unlike traditional public sauna facilities, guests can book their own private sauna areas. Each of the barrel-shaped wooden saunas accommodates up to six people, making them particularly suitable for small groups, friends or families.

The saunas are made from Nordic spruce, a wood commonly used in the construction of traditional Finnish saunas. Their rounded design helps air circulate inside. Visitors can relax at temperatures between 80 and 90 degrees Celsius before cooling off in the whirlpool.

Private Wellness Areas Right Beside the Vltava

The individual saunas are located outdoors and are separated from one another to provide guests with sufficient privacy. Private changing facilities and showers are also available.

In addition to the sauna sessions, food and drink are also part of the concept. The on-site bar serves Prosecco, beer and cocktails, among other drinks. The location directly beside the water is particularly appealing, offering views of the Vltava.

Special Prices to Mark the Start of the Season in November

To mark the start of the autumn season, Sauna Smíchov is offering discounted prices. Two hours in a private sauna cost CZK 1,790 in November instead of the regular CZK 1,990. The whirlpool can also be booked for two hours at a price of CZK 1,790.

Those wishing to combine both experiences pay CZK 3,290 for two hours of sauna and whirlpool use. The price includes a bottle of Prosecco, towels and sauna sheets. Bathrobes can be hired for an additional fee.

The facility caters to couples and small groups, as well as guests looking to organise a private wellness evening or a small corporate event.
