Those looking for special Christmas gifts will find plenty of inspiration at Holešovice Market at the end of November, when Hall 13 will once again be transformed into a large design market featuring products from independent makers and creatives from across the Czech Republic.
This year's Christmas edition of MINT Market will take place in Prague on 28 and 29 November. More than 100 carefully selected brands will present their products in Hall 13 at Holešovice Market (Holešovická tržnice). Visitors can expect a wide selection of handmade items and original gift ideas, offering an alternative to the traditional selection found in large shopping centres.
The range includes independent fashion and designer jewellery, ceramics, porcelain and natural cosmetics, as well as illustrations, bags, home accessories and other handmade products. The focus is on small labels, local producers and designers who present their products in person and have the opportunity to speak directly with their customers.

Christmas Market with Activities for Families
MINT Market welcomes visitors of all ages. A dedicated NOOK Family Lounge will be set up for families with children, offering high-quality wooden toys, creative play areas and a quiet reading corner. For parents with babies, there will also be a baby-changing area and a private space for breastfeeding.
The family programme will be complemented by creative workshops centred around Christmas. Admission to the entire market is free.
A Platform for Independent Designers for 16 Years
MINT Market was launched in 2010 and has since developed into an important platform for small and emerging brands in the Czech Republic. The aim of the project is to give independent makers and designers the opportunity to introduce their products to a wider audience.

Over the past 16 years, it has grown into a community of more than 1,500 creatives. According to the organisers, more than 450 events have been held so far, attracting a combined total of over 1.3 million visitors. MINT Markets now take place in numerous Czech cities.
"Supporting small and local brands has been one of the core ideas of our project from the very beginning," explains organiser Lenka Šašková. The aim is to encourage people to become self-employed with their own ideas and make a living from their creative work. At the same time, the market gives them the opportunity to showcase their products and get to know their customers personally. After all, nothing can replace direct contact.
For visitors, shopping is therefore not the only focus. The market also offers the opportunity to meet the people behind the products and make a conscious choice to buy from smaller, often regional producers.
