The international rating agency Moody’s has once again confirmed the high financial stability of Václav Havel Airport Prague. The assessment also highlights the airport’s ability to implement long-term investments flexibly.
Prague Airport continues to have a solid financial foundation. The international rating agency Moody’s has once again confirmed the long-term credit rating of airport operator Letiště Praha at Aa3 with a stable outlook. The agency thus attests to the company’s very high creditworthiness and favourable conditions for implementing its long-term investment plans.
“The result of this year’s review confirms that Prague Airport stands on a very solid financial foundation. The stable Aa3 rating is an important signal of confidence for us and, at the same time, a commitment to continue managing the company responsibly,” explains Radomír Lašák, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Letiště Praha.
According to Lašák, the rating enables the company to further develop the airport and prepare important investments. The focus is particularly on long-term stability and competitiveness.

Czech Republic’s Most Important International Airport
Moody’s attributes its positive assessment primarily to Prague Airport’s unique market position. As the owner and operator of the Czech capital’s most important international airport, Letiště Praha plays a central role in the country’s aviation sector. Václav Havel Airport Prague is also regarded as the country’s main international aviation hub and a key entry point for travellers from abroad.
The rating agency also positively assesses the airport’s internationally competitive charges and the balanced regulatory environment.
Another decisive factor is the company’s strong financial profile. According to Moody’s, this provides sufficient flexibility to implement the long-term investment plan while maintaining financial stability.
With the renewed confirmation of its Aa3 rating, Prague Airport has received an important signal for its future development. The rating is in the upper range of the investment-grade scale and indicates very high creditworthiness with a low risk of default.
