Dozens of craft beers that you don’t usually find in Prague will be on tap at the craft beer festival 2025. More than 20 brands and nomadic breweries from all regions of the country will present their limited releases in the outdoor area in front of Pragues cross][club on Friday, 23 May.
What is a nomadic brewery? It’s a kind of gypsy brewery — they brew beer wherever there’s space. They have their own identity, recipes, brewers and styles. Some eventually migrate towards their own production facility, but others won’t give up their nomadic existence, travelling back and forth, free as a bird.
It is this freedom and independence that guarantees a degree of creative playfulness you hardly find in commercial production. Be it an IPA, a sour, a lager or a stout, it will delight and surprise with imaginative flavours and honest execution.
More than 20 breweries will complement a diverse selection of interesting smaller, lesser-known and regional brands. Among them you will find breweries such as Hák’s Steam-Powered Brewery, where beer is brewed using the traditional technology of our ancestors. There will also be an assortment of non-alcoholic specialities.
Great beer goes hand in hand with good food. Burgers, Belgian fries, Colombian Street Food and the regular Cross Club menu will satisfy and delight even the most insatiable beer belly. DJs will take care of the atmosphere and the beer garden will stay open till late. Visitors may also appreciate free entry to the cross club for all valid ticket holders. Czech-speaking guests can also attend a fascinating lecture on the physics of beer by Martin Rybar, a leading expert in particle physics.
