Starting today, passengers on Prague Metro must prepare for restrictions: due to construction work on the line at Florenc station, service on Line C will be interrupted in two stages.
Metro Line C (red line) will be partially suspended for four days due to urgent construction work near Florenc station. Services will be restricted in two phases from 3 to 6 July, and DPP will provide replacement transport for the affected sections.

3 and 4 July: Section Between Pražského povstání and Nádraží Holešovice Closed
On the first two days, metro services between Pražského povstání and Nádraží Holešovice will be suspended. The northern section of Line C will continue operating between Letňany and Nádraží Holešovice, and the southern section between Háje and Pražského povstání.
To replace the suspended metro section, bus line XC will run at frequent intervals during the day (every 2–3 minutes during peak hours) with articulated buses. The route includes the following stops: Pražského povstání – Vyšehrad – I. P. Pavlova – Muzeum – Hlavní nádraží – Florenc – Vltavská – Nádraží Holešovice.
DPP also recommends using tram line 36, which will operate on an extended route during the closure: from Vozovna Pankrác via Florenc and Palmovka to the terminus at Vozovna Kobylisy. Regular tram line 24 will not operate during this time.
5 and 6 July: Closure Between I. P. Pavlova and Nádraží Holešovice
In the second phase of the work, the section between I. P. Pavlova and Nádraží Holešovice will be closed. Services will again be split: in the south, Line C will run only as far as I. P. Pavlova, and in the north, to Nádraží Holešovice.
Bus line XC will again provide replacement service, this time on a slightly modified route. Tram line 36 will also be in service again, now running from Zvonařka. Tram line 23 will terminate early at the Náměstí Bratří Synků stop during the construction work.
