    Extensive construction work: Plzeňská Street closed from mid-July

    A diversion route will be set up for car traffic

    Due to extensive construction work, Plzeňská Street in Prague will be closed to car traffic from mid-July. Tram and bus lines will be diverted to maintain traffic flow as smoothly as possible despite the closure.

    From Saturday, 12 July 2025, tram and bus services will be altered, and from 16 July 2025, Plzeňská Street will be completely closed to all car and bus traffic between Kartouzská and Erbenova Streets. The restrictions are expected to last until 29 August.

    A diversion route for motor vehicles will be established via Mozartova, Vrchlického and Erbenova streets.

    Changes to tram services (during the day):

    • Line 4 will run from Kubánské náměstí via Anděl (Plzeňská Street) and Bertramka to Kotlářka.
    • Line 21 will be temporarily suspended.

    Changes to bus services (during the day):

    • Line 123 will be shortened to run between Šmukýřka and Kavalírka.
    • Line 191 will operate only between the airport and Klamovka.

    New stops:

    • For lines 149 and 191, a stop called ‘Klamovka’ will be set up on Prachnerova Street before the intersection with Plzeňská Street, in the direction of Dejvická and the airport.
    • From 16 July 2025, a new stop called ‘Bertramka’ will be established for line 167 at the tram stop on Plzeňská Street, in the direction of Na Homolce Hospital.
