Wizz Air is expanding its network from Prague: from the end of October, passengers will be able to fly to Bucharest and Iași for the first time. The airline is responding to rising demand and further strengthening its presence in Eastern Europe.
Prague Airport announced on social media platform X that Wizz Air will soon operate two new routes from the Czech capital: to Bucharest and to Iași in north-eastern Romania. Flights will begin with the introduction of the winter timetable at the end of October, and tickets are already available via Wizz Air’s booking system.
From the start of the winter season (26th/28th October), passengers will be able to fly from Prague to Bucharest four times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – using an Airbus A321neo/A321ceo. The Iași route will initially operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using an Airbus A320neo, with a third weekly rotation on Thursdays planned from spring onwards.
This move continues Wizz Air’s expansion strategy from Prague. The airline recently launched new routes to Sofia, Skopje and Yerevan. Even bigger plans are underway in Bratislava: according to zdopravy.cz, Wizz Air will station two aircraft there and open 13 new routes.
