Prague will toast the end of summer in style this weekend. On Saturday, 20 September 2025, guests can enjoy Prosecco in the historic surroundings of St. James’ Monastery in the heart of Prague’s Old Town – an extraordinary combination of bubbles and almost a thousand years of history.
The evening will feature a wide selection of sparkling wines, including top Prosecco brands such as Nani Rizzi, Astoria, La Gioiosa, Riunite, V8, Villa Miazzi and Biele Zoe, as well as Prosecco from the renowned Asolo region and French Crémants. Guests can also enjoy creative cocktails, regional gourmet delicacies, and live music spanning various genres.
A Unique Experience
This is more than just a tasting – it is an opportunity to explore the recently opened Minorite Monastery (Klášter minoritů sv. Jakuba), which is accessible to the public for the first time in almost 800 years. Visitors can stroll through enchanting gardens and historic halls once frequented by John of Luxembourg and Elizabeth of Přemysl, including the Royal Lounge and the Coronation Hall, the largest monastery hall in Europe.
With carefully selected sparkling wines and gourmet delicacies, it promises to be a truly sparkling evening. And thanks to the monastery’s spacious interiors, the event will go ahead whatever the weather.
