Dance, Beats and a Big Party: Over 10,000 Fans at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Final in Prague

From Brno to Los Angeles: Two Czech Dancers Head to the World Final in California

On Saturday, the Křižík Fountain in Prague became the stage for the national final of Red Bull Dance Your Style 2025. The big winner of the evening was Brno’s Jan “Lil H” Ničovský, who thereby qualified for the world final in Los Angeles this October.

The Prague Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice were all about music, dance and a captivating show on Saturday, 20 September. The Křižík Fountain (Křižíkova fontána) was transformed into a large open-air stage, hosting dance performances, DJ sets and a concert by Slovak rapper Sára Rikas throughout the day. The highlight of the evening was the national final of Red Bull Dance Your Style 2025.

Semi-Finals at Sunset in Front of Thousands of Fans

Already in the afternoon, the first performances at the Křižík Fountain created an atmosphere that grew stronger with each act. At sunset the semi-finals began: 16 street dance performers faced off in one-on-one duels – without knowing what music awaited them. From Michael Jackson to Ben Cristovao and even Vivaldi, everything was included, and the audience responded each time with thunderous applause. The winners of each battle were chosen by the crowd, whose wristbands changed to blue or red after every duel. More than 10,000 fans fired up the atmosphere, which was lifted once again before the final by the performance of Sára Rikas.

    Duel from the Same Crew

In the grand final, two dancers from the same Brno crew, MoGG, faced each other: Jan “Lil H” Ničovský, the youngest participant in the competition, and Sebastian “Sebastián” Nicolas Šipoš, who had qualified through the open heats in June. The emotional battle ended with a clear audience vote for Lil H. “It was an incredibly powerful experience, every battle gave me even more energy,” said the newly crowned winner with a laugh after the decision. Ničovský, who already won the prestigious Street Dance Kemp Europe earlier this year, is regarded as one of the biggest talents on the young dance scene. His style: uncompromising, technically demanding hip hop, which for him is far more than just dance – it is both a form of expression and a way of life.

Two Representatives from the Czech Republic at the World Final

The Czech Republic will be represented twice at the world final in Los Angeles: alongside newly crowned champion Ničovský, Viktor Bukový from the Brno crew High Edition will also travel. He received a wildcard from the international organisers. Bukový is a leading figure in the Czech and Slovak waacking scene and has been making his mark internationally for years.
