Deep Purple will come to Prague’s O2 Arena in October 2026, bringing their unmistakable hard-rock sound back to the big stage. The rock legends present a programme full of classics and fresh energy – an evening that unites generations of fans.
The legendary rock band Deep Purple will once again take to the stage of Prague’s O2 Arena on 7 October 2026. The British hard-rock icons, famous for classics such as Smoke on the Water and Highway Star, will present a programme that reflects their impressive career across multiple decades. The evening will be opened by special guest Jayler.
It is hardly possible to overestimate Deep Purple’s influence on the development of rock music. More than 100 million albums sold and decades of sold-out arenas worldwide speak for themselves. The band received the “Legend Award” at the World Music Awards in 2008 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 – honours that confirm their status as a defining force in rock history.
Their musical journey now spans seven decades. Deep Purple have decisively shaped hard rock while continually reinventing themselves. The famous MKII line-up of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore defined several seminal albums in the early 1970s – including the live masterpiece Made in Japan, still regarded as one of the most important concert albums of all time.

Since their formation in 1968, Deep Purple have been among the world’s most consistent and hard-working rock bands. Even in the new millennium, they maintain their leading international position. In the past ten years alone, the group has sold more than two million records; their last four studio albums each reached number one in the German charts and were also met with great acclaim across Europe.
In 2022, the band had to cope with the departure of guitarist Steve Morse for personal reasons. The realignment proved highly successful: with Irish guitar virtuoso Simon McBride, Deep Purple embarked on an energetic year of live performances, winning over audiences and critics alike.
Deep Purple remain true to their musical roots and have created a distinctive sound from diverse influences – a sound whose significance continues to resonate today. Their audience is a vibrant mix of generations of fans celebrating a repertoire that few other rock bands can match.
Tickets for the concert on 7 October 2026 at Prague’s O2 Arena are available from 1,200 CZK (plus booking fees). Official ticket sales begin on 21 November 2025 at 11:00 through Ticketmaster and Ticketportal.
