České dráhy is set to launch a new overnight train service from Prague to Przemyśl in Poland, on the Ukrainian border. The service will feature modern sleeper carriages and expanded travel options for passengers heading to south-eastern Poland and beyond.
From 14 December, České dráhy will expand its night train offerings with a new direct service from Prague to Przemyśl in Poland. The train will include both a direct sleeper carriage and a second-class seating coach, departing daily as part of EN 443 Slovakia from Prague at 22:16 and arriving in Przemyśl the following day at 10:10. The new night service will feature upgraded sleeper amenities and enhance travel options to the Poland–Ukraine border. In addition, the new timetable will improve journey times on the existing night route to Warsaw.
The service will run in both directions at convenient overnight hours. The sleeper carriage will operate as EN 50443 from Prague and as EN 50417 on the return. Departing Prague at 22:16, the train offers a comfortable morning arrival in Kraków and Rzeszów, reaching the transfer hub of Przemyśl at 10:11. On the return journey, it will leave Przemyśl at 17:51 and reach Prague the next day at 07:46. In both directions, České dráhy night trains connect with Ukrainian Railways services to and from Lviv, Kyiv, and Kharkiv, with transfer times arranged to accommodate border procedures.

“By launching a direct night connection to south-eastern Poland and the border with Ukraine, we are responding to growing demand for comfortable overnight travel to this region,” said Michal Krapinec, Chairman and CEO of České dráhy. “In partnership with the Ukrainian national carrier, we are offering passengers a journey into the Ukrainian interior with a single transfer. Night trains have been experiencing a renaissance across Europe, and České dráhy has successfully embraced this trend. We plan to further expand these services to regions where demand for train travel is high, with Poland and Ukraine clearly among them.”
Enhanced Sleeper Carriages
The new service will feature a second-class compartment coach and a modernised, air-conditioned ČD sleeper carriage, model Bcmz 834, with eight compartments accommodating four or six passengers. Travellers can also book an entire compartment – as a Single, Double, or Triple – or reserve a women-only compartment.

The sleeper carriage on this route will pilot an expanded onboard service: the sleeper supplement now includes a small breakfast with water and a hot drink, beds come with a pillow and linen-covered blanket, and a train attendant is present throughout the journey to ensure safety and a restful night. Additional snacks and beverages are available for purchase onboard.
Faster Overnight Service to Warsaw
The existing night service between Prague and Warsaw will also see improvements. From the new timetable, the sleeper carriage will run a shorter route, arriving in Warsaw at 08:00 – over an hour earlier than before.
