In the latest TUI ranking of castles and palaces in Europe, Prague Castle secures an excellent 1st place. A total of more than 20,000 sites were analysed (GER), resulting in the identification of the 1,000 most popular castles and palaces in Europe.
It is estimated that over 100,000 of castles and palaces exist across Europe, many of them of breathtaking beauty. Whether mighty hilltop fortresses, magnificent residences or idyllic moated palaces – all are witnesses to a long history and a magnet for photographers and travellers alike. In the new TUI ranking, 20,000 sites in Europe were analysed and compared based on their Google ratings.
The Top 10 Castles & Palaces in Europe
From majestic to mystical: these sites have endured for centuries and continue to attract millions of visitors today. At the top of the Top 10 castles and palaces in Europe stands Prague Castle. In second place is Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, followed by the Royal Palace in Madrid in third place.
