Sparta Prague secured a direct place in the round of 16 of the UEFA Conference League with a convincing 3-0 win against Aberdeen. Olomouc narrowly reached the play-off round despite a defeat against Lech Poznań.
Sparta Prague achieved a direct entry into the UEFA Conference League round of 16 after a 3-0 home victory in the final group match against Aberdeen. As early as the 16th minute, Mannsverk opened the scoring by intercepting a clearance from the Aberdeen goalkeeper and finishing successfully. Shortly afterwards, captain Haraslín made it 2-0 – his seventh goal of the season and his 50th overall for Sparta. After the break, Kuol completed the 3-0 final score.
With their third consecutive win, Sparta finished the group stage with 13 points, ranking fourth out of 36 teams. Only AEK Athens, Raków Częstochowa, and table leaders Strasbourg fared better.
Olomouc Await the UEFA Conference League Play-offs
Olomouc, by contrast, needed a bit of luck: Sigma were already 0-2 down at half-time but tried everything in the final stages to earn points, initially failing against Lech Poznań’s strong defence and goalkeeper Koutný. It was not until the 84th minute that Král headed in the consolation goal to make it 1-2. Despite the defeat, there was great joy at the end, as Craiova only suffered a 3-2 defeat in Athens against AEK in the 90+14th minute (penalty), allowing Olomouc to qualify for the play-offs after all.
The draw for the pairings will take place on 16 January, with the matches scheduled for 19 and 26 February 2026.
