During the Christmas season, Prague Zoo is enticing visitors with a special gift: throughout the holidays, entry costs only 100 CZK. Families, students, seniors, and even four-legged friends – everyone can experience the winter animal world at a particularly favourable price.
For the holidays, Prague Zoo has come up with a special gift for the public: from Monday, 22 December, to Sunday, 4 January, entry costs just 100 CZK for all visitors, whether adults, students, seniors, or even dogs. The only exception is seniors over 70, who can still purchase their regular ticket for a symbolic 1 CZK. Reduced tickets are available only at the ticket offices.
Prague Zoo is open daily from 9:00 to 16:00 in December and January. Only on Christmas Eve do the pavilions close at 14:00, while the rest of the grounds remain accessible until 16:00.
24 December – Christmas Eve at the Zoo
Bring gifts for the animals in form of food, which the Zoo will pass on to them in the following days. The animals particularly enjoy carrots and apples, or alternatively unsweetened dry bread. Visitors who bring a gift for the animals will be rewarded with a small token of appreciation.

Currently, visitors can see, among others, baby gorillas, the second wombat in the Czech Republic already peeking out of its pouch, as well as numerous animals with thick winter coats such as reindeer, camels, or Siberian tigers. In a total of 14 heated pavilions, visitors can warm up in between.
Alongside the reduced entry fee, visitors can enjoy a rich programme during Christmas: this includes the traditional children’s entry for 1 CZK on Christmas Eve, special winter performances by the sea lions, commentated feedings, and the handing over of unsold Christmas trees to the animals.
