Prague Zoo is once again hosting a major photo competition: visitors are invited to submit their best animal snapshots and win attractive prizes. It’s not just the subject that matters – it’s the moment captured.
The zoo is calling on amateur photographers, animal lovers and creative minds to take part in this special competition. We’re looking for unique animal photos taken by visitors during their trip. Anyone who grabs their camera (or smartphone) before 18 November 2025 can not only move others with their images, but also win great prizes.
Only photos taken within the grounds of Zoo Praha between 1 January and 18 November 2025 are eligible. A maximum of two photos per category may be submitted – whether for the children’s category (up to 18 years of age, via their legal guardian), adults’ category, or the mobile devices category. Each photo must be in JPG format and not exceed 5 MB in size.
Participation is online via the FotoŠkoda platform (CZ), where interested entrants can register and upload their photos.
Prizes to go for
In the children’s and adults’ categories, the main prize is a Sony camera and a voucher for photo prints worth CZK 1,000. Second prize includes a unique experience: a ZooExpress ride at dusk, combined with a family ticket and a photo voucher worth CZK 500. Third-place winners will receive prizes from Volkswagen along with a CZK 300 photo voucher.
In the mobile devices category, first place will receive a CZK 2,000 shopping voucher from FotoŠkoda. Second prize is an exciting night-time animal safari through Prague Zoo using a thermal imaging camera – a behind-the-scenes look at nocturnal animal life. Third place will again receive VW gift items and a CZK 300 voucher.
The winners will be announced on 6 December 2025 – until then, keep your eyes open during your visit to the zoo, and don’t forget to press that shutter button!
