Galerie Mánes in Prague is, for three weeks in May, the venue for an international automotive and cultural project: the Mercedes-Benz Studio Praha. Visitors can expect a diverse programme of innovation, design and motorsport.

Galerie Mánes in the centre of Prague is a stage for innovation and design in May: since Sunday, 3 May 2026, the Mercedes-Benz Studio Praha has been open to visitors and runs until 24 May. The freely accessible concept brings together modern mobility, art, culture and leisure activities under one roof – making the Czech capital the only location of this global initiative in Central Europe.

Behind the project is the German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, which is marking the 140th anniversary of the automobile worldwide with its studios. The starting point of this development was the year 1886, when Carl Benz patented his first motorised vehicle and Gottlieb Daimler developed a motorised carriage at almost the same time. These early innovations laid the foundation for today’s automotive industry.

Three weeks, three focal themes

The programme in Prague is divided into three themed weeks – focusing on innovation, design and performance. Throughout the entire period, visitors can also enjoy a café lounge as well as a store with exclusive collections and products specially developed for the Prague studio.

The opening is marked by the week “140 Years of Innovation”. In addition to a functional replica of the historic Patent Motor Car, current models are also on display – including the new C-Class, which celebrates its European premiere in Prague. The exhibition is complemented by the Mercedes-Benz CLA, which has been named “Car of the Year 2026”.

Design, fashion and the local creative scene

In the second week, the focus shifts to “Maybach & Design”. Among the highlights are exclusive models from the luxury Mercedes-Maybach line as well as iconic vehicles such as the G-Class in customised versions. The local creative scene is also given space: the Lemarket design market brings selected fashion and design labels to the gallery, accompanied by discussion panels on aesthetics and trends.

Motorsport, super sports cars and Formula 1

The final week is dedicated to “AMG & Motorsport”. High-performance vehicles such as the Mercedes-AMG ONE, along with other models from the performance division, take centre stage. The programme is complemented by motorsport experiences, including Formula 1 simulators, a commentary studio and virtual races as part of the Mercedes-Benz Virtual GP.

A special highlight is also the presentation of the historic Mercedes-Benz 300 SLS racing car, which was successful in the United States in the 1950s and is now being shown in the Czech Republic for the first time.

An open concept for a broad audience

The Mercedes-Benz Studio is deliberately conceived as an open space that goes beyond traditional car exhibitions. In addition to vehicles, the programme also includes cultural events, workshops and sporting activities – from dance evenings to running and fitness classes.
