Numerous well-known sporting personalities also took part in the run. Among those at Prague’s Stromovka park were snowboarder Eva Adamczyková, snowboarder Jakub Hroneš and skateboarder Maxim Habanec. According to his own statements, Habanec has regularly taken part in the Wings for Life World Run since the very first edition.
The event has also become particularly well established in Jablonec nad Nisou. There, professional mountain biker Tomáš Slavík has organised the local run for years. This time, the event was additionally supported by kayaker Vavřinec Hradilek. Many participants also remembered MTB rider Anna Slancová, who, following a serious spinal cord injury, has become a symbol of motivation for many runners.

The Wings for Life World Run is regarded as one of the world’s largest global charity running events. One of its defining features is the so-called “Catcher Car” principle: instead of a traditional finish line, a virtual pursuit vehicle ends participants’ runs. Thanks to the official app, people around the world can take part regardless of their location.

The next edition of the Wings for Life World Run is scheduled to take place on 9 May 2027.
