Prague Lions’ Play-off Hopes End after Defeat to Raiders Tirol
Following their 29–41 home defeat, the Lions are aiming to end the season on a high against Frankfurt Galaxy and give their fans something to celebrate

The Prague Lions’ dream of reaching the EFA BIG4 Playoff Weekend is officially over. Following their 29–41 defeat against the Raiders Tirol in the European Football Alliance (EFA), the Prague team now only has a respectable end to the season to aim for on Sunday.
The Prague Lions have missed their final chance to reach the European Football Alliance play-offs. In front of their home crowd at Viktoria Žižkov Stadium, the Prague side suffered a 29–41 defeat against the Raiders Tirol. While the visitors from Austria can continue to hope for a place at the EFA BIG4 Playoff Weekend, the Lions’ season has effectively been decided.
The situation was clear for both teams before the game: only a victory could keep their hopes of reaching the final round alive. The Raiders made the better start, but the Prague Lions initially kept the game close. Following touchdowns from Keyon Lesane Sr. and Adam Zouzelka, the hosts remained within striking distance at half-time, trailing 20–24.

After the break, however, the team from Tirol increasingly took control. A long touchdown pass and running back Lukas Haslwanter’s fourth touchdown gave the visitors a comfortable lead.
Quarterback Jaylon Henderson brought the Lions back to within 29–38 in the final quarter with a run into the end zone. However, the Raiders did not let the victory slip away and added a field goal to make the final score 41–29.
Final Home Game against Frankfurt Galaxy
Following the defeat, the Prague Lions have a record of two wins and seven losses ahead of the final matchday. The Raiders Tirol moved ahead of Prague in the head-to-head standings with the same record and can still qualify for the play-offs with a victory against the Paris Musketeers.

For the Lions, however, the dream of reaching the BIG4 Playoff Weekend is already over ahead of their final game of the season on Sunday, 9 August. Nevertheless, the team would like to bid farewell to its supporters with a victory. In their final home game of the season, Prague will host Frankfurt Galaxy. Kick-off at Viktoria Žižkov Stadium is at 1.00 pm.
Although their play-off chances are officially over, the Lions are once again hoping for strong and vocal support from the stands. A home victory against Frankfurt would provide the Prague team and its fans with a positive conclusion to a difficult season.
