On Wednesday, Czech ice hockey fans will turn their attention to the draw for the 2026/27 Champions Hockey League. Three teams from the Czech Republic will once again compete in the European tournament and now know their seeding pots for the draw.

Three teams from the Czech Republic know their starting positions for the draw for the 2026/27 Champions Hockey League (CHL). HC Dynamo Pardubice, HC Pilsen and Bílí Tygři Liberec will once again represent the Czech Republic in Europe’s top club competition.

Ahead of Wednesday’s draw, the Champions Hockey League has published the seeding list for the upcoming season. A total of 24 teams from various European leagues will take part. The teams were divided into four seeding pots according to their domestic results and the position of their league in the CHL ranking.

From a Czech perspective, HC Dynamo Pardubice enter the competition as the highest-ranked team and have been placed in Pot A. HC Pilsen have been assigned to Pot B, while the Bílí Tygři Liberec have been drawn into Pot C.

Defending champions Frölunda Gothenburg from Sweden head Pot A. Several leading clubs from Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Austria and Germany are also represented in the top pots.

The draw will take place according to a fixed format. Each team will receive six opponents and will face two teams from each of the other three pots. Clubs from the same league cannot face each other during the regular season.

The CHL draw will take place on Wednesday, 27 May, at 16:00 CEST and will be broadcast live on the official Champions Hockey League channels.
