The municipal corporation Výstaviště Praha, which manages Prague Exhibition Grounds and Holešovice Market Hall, ended 2025 with a profit of CZK 4.3 million. This is according to the annual report approved by the Prague City Council.
Despite extensive renovation works and ongoing investments across both city owned sites, the company achieved a positive financial result. Total revenue reached CZK 395.4 million in 2025. Income from short- and long-term rentals as well as the operation of sports facilities performed particularly strongly, generating a combined CZK 156.7 million.
Lower energy costs than originally projected also contributed positively to the result. At the same time, expenditure increased due to the expansion of operations at the New Spiral (Nová Spirála) theatre and additional staffing costs. Rent paid to the City of Prague rose by almost 17 per cent year-on-year to CZK 36 million.
Both sites also recorded a significant increase in visitor numbers. Prague Exhibition Grounds welcomed almost 2.97 million visitors last year, an increase of 17.7 per cent compared with the previous year. The highest daily attendance was recorded on 8 March, when 28,760 people visited the site.

Holešovice Market Hall attracted a total of 2.99 million visitors, representing an increase of 9.8 per cent despite stricter visitor counting methodology. The busiest day was 30 October, with 13,534 visitors.
A total of 292 cultural, social, sporting and trade fair events were held across the two sites. Of these, 191 took place at Prague Exhibition Grounds and 101 at Holešovice Market Hall.
Among the key events held at Prague Exhibition Grounds were Prague Bike Fest, Maker Faire Prague, NeverMore 68 and the safety and emergency preparedness event Týden hrdinů. The New Spiral theatre hosted 53 productions, with an average occupancy rate of 80 per cent.

Holešovice Market Hall Continues to Grow
Holešovice Market Hall also continued to expand its cultural and gastronomic programme. Highlights included celebrations marking the 130th anniversary of the former municipal slaughterhouse site, the Mexican Day of the Dead festival, which attracted more than 10,000 visitors, the Advent and Christmas programme, and culinary events such as the Pastrami Pop-Up and Pizza! Pizza! Pop-Up.
At the same time, investment continued across both sites. More than CZK 80 million was invested at Prague Exhibition Grounds in areas including technical infrastructure, public lighting, pavilions, parking facilities and the revitalisation of the Lapidarium. At Holešovice Market Hall, investment totalled almost CZK 57 million. Projects completed included the reconstruction of Halls 1 and 27/28, as well as the construction of a new veterinary clinic.
Výstaviště Praha, a.s. is wholly owned by the City of Prague. The company manages two major municipal sites – Prague Exhibition Grounds and Holešovice Market Hall – which are being gradually transformed into open, multifunctional centres for culture, commerce, sport, gastronomy and leisure.
