Prague Airport has launched tenders for two key construction projects as part of its modernisation programme. These include a new road bridge (estacade) in the airport's public area and a new multi-storey car park for employees. The combined estimated investment amounts to around CZK 3.5 billion.
The new road bridge will become the main transport artery in front of the terminals, providing better separation between private vehicles, taxis, buses and pedestrians. The project also includes new access and exit roads, additional ramps and a larger roundabout. Travellers will be able to reach the terminals from public transport stops and car parks without having to cross traffic lanes. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2028 and be completed in 2031. The project is currently estimated to cost around CZK 2.3 billion.

At the same time, a new multi-storey car park for employees will be built, providing 1,098 parking spaces, including 26 accessible bays. The building will be constructed using a split-level design, allowing around 15 per cent more parking spaces to be created within the same footprint. Construction is scheduled to take place between 2027 and 2029. The project has an estimated value of around CZK 1.2 billion.

The multi-storey car park will be equipped with a photovoltaic system, intelligent lighting and infrastructure to support the future expansion of electric vehicle charging facilities. One charging station will be installed from the outset. Prague Airport also plans to further expand parking capacity for passengers, including the construction of the new public Car Park B.
