Saudi Arabian airline flyadeal has launched its first-ever flights to Prague. From now on, it will connect the Czech capital directly with Riyadh and Jeddah several times a week.

Prague Airport is expanding its route network to the Middle East and has welcomed flyadeal as a new airline. Since the beginning of July, the Saudi low-cost carrier has been operating direct flights between the Czech capital and the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah. Both seasonal routes will operate three times a week until the end of September.

For flyadeal, Prague marks its entry into the Central European market and is among the airline’s first European destinations. In addition to Prague, the carrier is also adding Milan and Sarajevo to its route network this summer.

“We are delighted to welcome flyadeal to Prague Airport. The new service to Jeddah, together with the additional capacity on the Riyadh route, strengthens our connections with the Middle East while also deepening ties between the Czech Republic and Saudi Arabia,” said Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors. During the summer season, the airport expects around 20,000 passengers across the two routes.

Both routes are operated using an Airbus A320neo with seating for 186 passengers. Flights to Riyadh operate every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while the Jeddah service runs every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

According to the airline, the new routes are intended to support the growing number of tourists travelling from Saudi Arabia to Prague, while also offering travellers from the Czech Republic new opportunities to visit the Arabian Peninsula. While Riyadh attracts visitors with its blend of a modern skyline and historic fortresses, Jeddah is renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic district and the more than 300-metre-high King Fahd Fountain, one of the country's best-known attractions.

Flight tickets are available now via the flyadeal website.

The Prague–Riyadh route operates every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flights depart Riyadh at 7:35 am and arrive in Prague at 12:50 pm. The return flight departs Prague at 1:50 pm and arrives in Riyadh at 8:55 pm (all times local).

Founded in 2017, flyadeal is part of the Saudia Group and says it has already carried more than 45 million passengers. With an extensive fleet modernisation programme and planned expansion of its international route network, it is currently one of the fastest-growing airlines in the Middle East.
