Two covered basketball and streetball courts are now available free of charge under the Barikádníků Bridge in Prague 7. The new courts can be used in all weather conditions and are intended to become a new meeting place for sport and the local community.
A new sports facility for basketball and streetball has opened under the Barikádníků Bridge in the U Vody Park in Prague 7. Since the end of June, two covered courts have been available daily, free of charge and without the need for a reservation.

The new courts were created through a collaboration between the community project 3DOM and the Prague 7 district. Thanks to the roof, they can be used in almost all weather conditions. In summer, the bridge arches provide shade, while the covered courts remain dry during rain. In the evening and at night, lighting ensures excellent playing conditions.

The new facility is intended to bring basketball back into public spaces. The organisers aim to create an open meeting place where sport, culture and the community come together. In addition to casual play, the courts will regularly host sports and community events.

The project forms part of the ongoing revitalisation of the Prague 7 district. Construction was financially supported by the 3DOM project and the property developer Finep.
