Škoda Auto has produced the one millionth Karoq at its Kvasiny plant. The successor to the successful compact SUV is set to be unveiled at the turn of 2027/2028.

Škoda Auto has produced the one millionth Karoq at its plant in Kvasiny, eastern Bohemia. The milestone vehicle is a Graphite Grey Karoq 1.5 TSI with an output of 110 kW (150 hp).

The compact SUV has been in production since its market launch in 2017 and is one of the Czech carmaker's most successful models. According to the company, the successor to the Karoq is set to be unveiled at the turn of 2027/2028.

“Since production began in 2017, the Škoda Karoq has established itself as a key part of our portfolio and as a particularly important model for the Kvasiny plant,” said Andreas Dick, Škoda Auto Board Member for Production and Logistics. Reaching the one million milestone reflects the dedication and collaboration of numerous employees over many years.

Karoq Among Škoda's Most Important SUV Models

The Karoq was introduced in 2017 as Škoda's third SUV model and quickly became an important part of the model range. Škoda now offers 14 model series, including nine SUV models. Within the SUV range, the Karoq is the brand's third most popular model.

Four years after its market launch, the vehicle received a comprehensive facelift. According to the manufacturer, the Karoq stands out in particular for its spacious and versatile interior, its extensive standard equipment and the choice of various powertrain options.

The Karoq's key markets are Germany, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. Overall, the model is currently available in around 60 countries.

Kvasiny Plant Achieved Production Record in 2025

The Karoq has been produced at the Škoda plant in Kvasiny since 2017. The Kodiaq and the Octavia are also manufactured at the site. The plant has an annual production capacity of more than 300,000 vehicles.

In 2025, the site achieved a new production record, manufacturing a total of 301,500 Škoda vehicles. This followed the expansion of Kodiaq production and the addition of the Octavia to the production programme. Since May 2026, the Octavia Estate has also been produced at Kvasiny.

The plant is one of the region's largest employers and, according to the company, is being continuously modernised. This year, the paint shop is due to be upgraded, among other improvements. This is expected to further improve quality standards and enable the use of more advanced paint materials.
