Drone Show over the Vltava: Samsung to Present New Galaxy Devices in Prague on Thursday

A spectacular drone show will illuminate Prague city centre on Thursday evening. The event marks the launch of Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones and smartwatches.

On Thursday evening, a major drone show will transform the sky above Prague city centre into a glowing stage. The South Korean electronics company Samsung is celebrating the launch of its new foldable Galaxy smartphones and smartwatches.

The event begins above the Vltava on Thursday, 6 August, at 9.30 pm. According to Samsung, numerous drones will use light animations to depict the new Galaxy-series devices. The show is expected to be particularly visible from the area around Jirásek Bridge.

Samsung describes it as a product presentation unlike anything previously held in this form in the Czech Republic. The combination of Prague’s night-time scenery and modern technology is intended to accompany the official launch of the new devices.

“The launch of the eighth generation of our foldable smartphones, together with the new smartwatches, is an important moment for us. That is why we wanted to offer Prague something extraordinary,” said Veronika Schieblová of Samsung. The planned show would combine the atmosphere of the city at night with modern technology.

New Galaxy Range Presented in London

The global presentation of the new Galaxy products took place on 22 July as part of the Galaxy Unpacked event in London. On the same day, Samsung also organised a drone show in Bratislava. The event in Prague now follows the presentation in the Slovak capital.

At the centre of the new product range is the foldable Galaxy Z Fold8 smartphone, which features a redesigned appearance. For the first time, Samsung is also introducing a model bearing the Ultra designation within its Fold range.
