STARLUX Airlines’ Golden Airbus A350-1000 “AIRSORAYAMA” for the First Time in Prague
The aircraft features a special golden livery created in collaboration with Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama.

STARLUX Airlines brought one of its most distinctive aircraft to Prague today. The golden “AIRSORAYAMA” combines the carrier’s premium concept with a design by Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama.
For the first time, Taiwanese carrier STARLUX Airlines’ golden Airbus A350-1000 “AIRSORAYAMA” landed in Prague today. The aircraft features a special golden livery created in collaboration with Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama.

STARLUX announced its collaboration with Sorayama in January. The aim of the project was to combine the artist’s hyperrealistic robotic aesthetic with the technical form of the Airbus A350-1000. Born in 1947, Sorayama is internationally renowned for his depictions in which human and mechanical forms merge.
Specially Designed Items Also Available on Board
The design project is not limited to the aircraft’s exterior livery. Specially designed boarding passes, name badges, paper cups, napkins and other products created by Sorayama are also expected to be used on board. Limited-edition amenity kits for Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers are also planned for long-haul flights. The offering is complemented by the specially developed “AIRSORAYAMA Special Chrome Sky” cocktail, based on gin and sweet wine.

The new aircraft has 350 seats across four travel classes. Business Class features fully enclosed suites. First Class, with just four seats, completes the exclusive offering on board.
STARLUX launched the direct connection between Prague and Taipei on 1 August. It is the Taiwanese airline’s first scheduled route to Europe. The connection is initially operated three times a week, and from October, the number of weekly flights is set to increase to four.

STARLUX Airlines was founded in 2020 and is one of Asia’s youngest airlines. The five-star carrier positions itself in the premium segment and focuses on modern cabin interiors by BMW Designworks, high-quality onboard service and catering inspired by leading international restaurants.
