From Thursday to Sunday, the Signal Festival 2026 will transform Prague's city centre and the Dejvice district into a stage for light art. Due to the expected number of visitors, traffic disruptions may occur, particularly in the evening hours.
The Signal Festival 2026 will once again attract numerous visitors to Prague from Thursday, 15 October, to Sunday, 18 October 2026. This year's edition of the light art festival will take place at a total of 17 locations, spread across two festival routes: Prague city centre and the Dejvice district. The city authorities expect significantly increased pedestrian traffic and possible road traffic restrictions during the event.
The light installations will be on display daily from 7 pm to midnight. Particularly large crowds are expected between 7 pm and 9 pm. During this period, some roads and pavements may be temporarily difficult to access.

City Recommends Travelling by Metro
The Prague City Council is urging motorists to avoid travelling to the affected areas of the city during the festival wherever possible. Visitors are advised to use public transport to reach the event.
Staroměstská metro station is a suitable starting point for the festival route in the city centre, while the Dejvice route is best reached via Dejvická station. The individual light installations can be explored on foot.
Extra Caution Near Roads and Tram Tracks
In view of the expected crowds, the city authorities are calling on visitors to exercise extra caution in traffic. This applies particularly when crossing roads and when near tram tracks. Particular care is required on Evropská Street in Dejvice. Especially when moving between the festival locations Masarykova kolej and PPF Gate, visitors should use only designated pedestrian crossings.
The organisers, security staff and traffic coordinators will work to ensure the festival runs as smoothly as possible. In the event of particularly large crowds, access to individual festival areas may be temporarily restricted.

Visitors are also asked to follow the instructions of security staff and keep to designated routes. Passageways and access routes for emergency vehicles must remain clear at all times. The use of bicycles or e-scooters in the immediate vicinity of the light installations is also discouraged.
Information on Festival Routes and Possible Changes
The City of Prague is urging both motorists and festival visitors to show consideration for one another and observe the applicable traffic regulations. Up-to-date information on the programme, the two festival routes and any possible changes is available on the official Signal Festival website and the interactive festival map.
