Prague is continuing to expand its park-and-ride facilities. New car parks in Opatov, Modřany and Uhříněves provide additional parking spaces and allow passengers to transfer directly to the metro, tram or train.
The Czech capital has expanded its network of P+R car parks with three new locations. All are situated in southern Prague and are intended to make it easier for commuters to switch from cars to public transport. While a new multi-storey car park has been built directly next to Metro Line C in Opatov, additional parking facilities are now available in Modřany and Uhříněves, close to railway and tram connections.
The three facilities differ in terms of capacity and parking conditions.
Opatov: New Multi-Storey Car Park with Almost 500 Spaces
The largest and newest of the three P+R facilities is located at Opatov metro station on Line C. The six-storey car park opened on 8 October 2026 and offers a total of 498 parking spaces.

Parking costs CZK 50 for the first 24 hours. The car park also has charging stations for electric vehicles.
Thanks to the direct connection to Metro Line C, motorists can leave their vehicles on the outskirts of the city and conveniently continue their journey to Prague's city centre by metro.
Modřany: Free Parking and Connections to Trams and Trains
Another new P+R car park is located in Modřany, between the tram and railway lines near the Nádraží Modřany tram stop and Praha-Modřany zastávka railway station.
The facility opened in mid-September on a previously unused site and offers a total of 52 parking spaces. Motorists can park their vehicles here free of charge for up to twelve hours.
From there, passengers can transfer directly to tram and train services.

Uhříněves: 61 Additional Parking Spaces at the Railway Station
The P+R facilities at Praha-Uhříněves railway station, on the railway line towards Benešov, have also been expanded. A new car park with 61 additional spaces has been built directly next to an existing parking area.
Following the necessary official approval, parking there will be free of charge for up to twelve hours. Four charging stations for electric vehicles are also planned for the future. Passengers can conveniently reach the platforms via an underpass and continue their journey by train.
Better Connections Between Cars and Public Transport
With the three new P+R facilities, Prague is expanding opportunities for commuters to leave their cars outside the city centre and switch to public transport. The additional parking spaces are intended to help reduce car traffic towards the city centre and make public transport more attractive to commuters.
