Revenge achieved: The Prague Lions defeated the Hamburg Sea Devils in an exciting clash, marking their third straight win. After a rocky start to the season, the team from the Czech capital has firmly established themselves in the European League of Football.
Following a shaky beginning to the new European League of Football (ELF) season, the Prague Lions are hitting their stride. With a hard-fought 19-14 victory over the Hamburg Sea Devils, the team not only secured their third consecutive win but also gained long-awaited revenge for their first-leg defeat (13-28) in week 2.
Fresh from their bye week and buoyed by their win against the Wroclaw Panthers in Week 4, Prague came out alert – and especially strong on defence. In a tough contest that remained undecided until the final minute, the Prague Lions showed nerves of steel: Hamburg had possession in the closing seconds with the score at 19-14, but the Prague defence held firm.
Several key players stood out en route to victory. Quarterback Javarian Smith led the team wisely across the field, while wide receivers Willie Patterson and Adam Zouzelka impressed with crucial plays. It was a cohesive team effort that made the difference.
With this away win, the Prague Lions improve to a 3–2 record in the Eastern Division and solidify their position in the upper half of the table. The next major challenges await at the end of June with away games at Frankfurt Galaxy and, at the beginning of July, at the Vienna Vikings.

At home, fans can see the Prague Lions on 13 July at the stadium in Žižkov – their opponents will be the Panthers from Wrocław.
