The Saturn Revue is an extraordinary stage show taking off in Prague: burlesque meets science fiction, variety meets retro-futurism. From September, Nová Spirála will be transformed into a galactic revue bar filled with music, acrobatics, and dazzling fantasy.
What would the legendary Cotton Club look like if it were floating in Saturn’s orbit? And what happens when burlesque meets science fiction, jazz meets acrobatics, and reality meets fantasy? The Saturn Revue promises answers to these questions – an opulent revue that will premiere on 4 September 2025 at the reopened Nová Spirála at the Prague Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice.
The lavishly staged production blends Art Deco aesthetics with retro-futurism, vintage burlesque, and variety theatre. The result is a cross-genre experience never before seen in the Czech Republic.
A New York Bar at the End of the World
“An alien walks into a bar in New York…” – so begins the story, in which Earth teeters on the brink of destruction. In a melancholic jazz bar, where guests quietly enjoy their final drinks, a being from another galaxy suddenly appears – and falls in love. An interstellar romance unfolds – perhaps the last glimmer of hope for humanity.
But The Saturn Revue does not follow a traditional narrative. Instead, it is a visually stunning sequence of scenes, images, and performances that stir emotions rather than telling a linear story. Jan Cina and Kryštof Krhovják take turns as narrators, accompanied by Jasmína Houf as the mysterious guide through the evening. Around them, an international ensemble showcases its acrobatic, musical, and dance artistry – literally in the midst of the audience. The Saturn Revue takes place in 360 degrees, above the audience’s heads and directly between the rows of seats.
“We wanted to take burlesque further – with all our experience and desire for something new. Jazz, variety, stage design, movement: for us, it all belongs together,” explains producer Terézia Bělčáková. It’s not about a compelling plot, but about standalone acts in which each artist tells their own story.
Director David N. Jahn adds: “When I first saw the rotating stage at Nová Spirála, I immediately thought of Saturn’s rings. That’s how the idea of a love story that could change the universe came about.”

A Star-Studded Line-Up of International Artists
The show features a stellar cast of international performers. Burlesque icon Betsy Rose – a three-time winner of the UK’s No. 1 Burlesque Performer title – transports audiences to a weightless Paris of the 1930s. Clown and comedian Russell Bruner channels the spirit of Charlie Chaplin with his style, while Belgian showgirl sensation Colette Collerette and Dutch acrobat Michiel Tange van Leeuwen deliver breathtaking moments on stage – the latter makes you believe that aliens not only exist but look absolutely fabulous.
In total, more than 26 artists take to the stage – including dancers from the Zodiac Dancers, singers, acrobats, showboys, and international guests. Anika Caitlyn Gibson, Miss Cool Cat, and Mr Sonny Vargas are also among the leading performers.

Nová Spirála: Stage of the Future
After more than two decades of closure, Nová Spirála reopened its doors last year and is now one of the most modern theatres in Central Europe. Its rotating, vertically movable stage and circular auditorium provide the perfect setting for a show that sets new benchmarks in visual spectacle and technical innovation. Lighting design, video mapping, surround sound – every element is crafted to make The Saturn Revue an experience like no other on Earth.
