In mid-October, the Signal Festival will once again transform Prague into a glowing art laboratory. For the first time, the tower of the Old Town Hall will become the canvas for video mapping, while the Basilica of St Ludmila makes a comeback after three years.
From 16 to 19 October 2025, the Prague Signal Festival returns for its 13th edition, once more bringing spectacular light and art installations to the city. A highlight of this year’s programme will be two large-scale video mapping projections, freely accessible to all visitors.
For the first time in the festival’s history, the tower façade of the Old Town Hall will serve as a projection surface. The nearly 70-metre-high landmark on the Old Town Square will be transformed by the monumental work OVERLOЯD by the Italian creative studio MammasONica into a play of data and emotions. The projection on two sides of the tower strikingly illustrates how digital art can reframe historic architecture.
After three years, the popular video mapping installation will also return to the Basilica of St Ludmila at Náměstí Míru. The Spanish studio V.P.M., recognised as one of the leading names in audiovisual art, will stage under the title ITERACE – The Infinite Rhythm of the City a fusion of futuristic forms with the neo-Gothic church façade. For the first time, laser elements will also be used, adding even greater intensity to the projection.
Alongside the free programme, the festival will once again offer the Signal INSIDE section, featuring ticketed installations at extraordinary locations in Prague’s city centre. In atmospherically rich spaces, visitors will not only view art but in many cases experience it interactively. In total, seven installations await guests, including a large-scale immersive video mapping projection.
Tickets for Signal INSIDE are available from today, 19 August. During the early-bird phase, 1,000 tickets are on offer at reduced prices:
- Day ticket: from 290 CZK
- Festival pass for all days: 390 CZK
- VIP ticket: 1,690 CZK, including benefits such as fast-lane entry, Mercedes-Benz VIP shuttle, and access to official after-parties.
The Signal Festival is considered the largest platform for digital and creative culture in the Czech Republic, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors to Prague each year. It unites contemporary art, urban spaces, and cutting-edge technologies – and has long since become the most visited cultural event in the country.
