Metronome Prague 2026 Moves to Letňany Airport: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Announced as First Headliner

Together with the move to Letňany, the festival also announces a new partnership with Live Nation, one of the world’s largest live entertainment companies

Live Nation Czech Republic and Metronome Prague are joining forces: Metronome 2026 will take place at Letňany Airport. The first headliner is Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

Metronome Prague is entering its second decade with a major step forward. After ten years of existence, its founders have announced a partnership with global concert promotion leader Live Nation Czech Republic. This collaboration will result in a unique music event, which will take place on 19–21 June 2026 at Letňany Airport in Prague. The first star announced for the anniversary edition’s star-studded line-up is Nick Cave.

Nick Cave, one of the most influential figures in world music, a charismatic singer, songwriter, and eternal rebel, will be heading to Metronome as part of his European tour. “Nick Cave is a star who wants to return to Metronome so that we can celebrate our 10th anniversary together. He loves Czech fans and Prague – just as we love him! And this is just the beginning; more breaking news will follow soon,” promises David Gaydečka, co-founder of Metronome Prague.

The partnership between Metronome Prague and Live Nation Czech Republic brings strong backing and know-how, but above all a new dimension to the festival concept, which combines music with culture, art, discussions, gastronomy, and social issues. In 2026, this concept will be developed on a larger scale with three main stages, a wider range of genres, a Food Festival, and an accompanying programme that aims to inspire and connect audiences across generations. The new Letňany Airport venue will not only provide ample space, but also comfort and easy accessibility for all visitors.

“From the beginning, we wanted to create something that goes beyond a music festival in the traditional sense. A place where experiences, art, and people who want to discover new things come together. The connection with Live Nation opens up new possibilities for us and, above all, gives us the power to take our vision to a global level,” says David Gaydečka, and his colleague Martin Voňka adds: “Metronome is an event for those who want more than just to see a concert. We offer a space where music opens the door to new experiences. Thanks to our partnership with Live Nation, we will now create an experience that will define the beginning of summer in June, not only in Prague, but throughout Central Europe.”

Live Nation Czech Republic is part of the world’s largest promotion company, which organises tens of thousands of concerts and festivals every year. It is one of the market leaders in the Czech Republic, and this year alone, more than 500,000 fans attended its events. It brings the world’s biggest stars to domestic stages, including Imagine Dragons, AC/DC, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa. Thanks to its strong international background, the company is able to organise spectacular concerts in halls and stadiums, as well as club events.

“Our goal is to bring not only concerts to the Czech Republic, but also music events with a long-term impact. The partnership with Metronome Prague is a great opportunity to create an event that will have strong domestic roots and at the same time open the door to names that have been out of reach until now,” says Robert Porkert, director of Live Nation Czech Republic.

Ticket sales for Metronome Prague 2026 have been launched at www.metronome.cz – currently at a discounted price. As the line-up is gradually revealed, the price will increase.
