In Prague, numerous outdoor ice rinks will open again for the winter season 2025/26. The city offers options suitable for both families and experienced skaters, with most locations providing skate rentals.
Winter is just around the corner, and with it, the city’s popular ice rinks will reopen. We have put together an up-to-date list of the best ice rinks in Prague for the 2025/26 winter season. Grab your skates and hit the ice! If you don’t own your own equipment – no problem: most Prague ice rinks offer skate hire.
Ice Rink Shopping Centre Nový Smíchov: The rink on the shopping centre’s terrace covers an area of 20 x 10 metres and is open daily from 9 am to 8 pm. In addition to traditional skating, the rink can be hired for corporate events. Skate hire and refreshments are available.

Ice Rink Střížkov (Kluziště Střížkov): This unique rink in the Park of Friendship (Park Přátelství) near Střížkov metro station features a circular area with a diameter of 25 metres – something rarely seen elsewhere in the Czech Republic. Next to the rink is Bistro Fontána, serving mulled wine, bagels, and hot dogs. The bistro also offers a heated tent and private skate hire.
River Rink – Karlín: The River Rink delights visitors again this season with its fantastic atmosphere! Here, you will find more than just an ice rink. Spend an entire winter day here. The Karlín rink offers a well-equipped skate and accessories hire station. A bistro provides food and mixed drinks, as well as hot beverages to warm up.
Ice Rink Metropole Zličín: Combine the useful with the enjoyable: treat yourself to a refreshing skate with your family after a shopping day. The rink is located in the car park in front of the main entrance to the Metropole Zličín shopping centre. In addition to perfectly maintained ice, there is a hire service with quality skates and equipment for beginners.

Ice Rink Letná (Kluziště Letná) – from 15 November: The rink on Prague’s Letná, opposite the Sparta Prague stadium, is open daily from 9 am to 9 pm. Admission costs 100 CZK, while children enter free. Skate hire and refreshments are available on-site.
Ice Arena Černý Most – from 22 November 2025: The Černý Most shopping centre will once again attract skaters this year. Parents with children can take part in skating lessons for the little ones. The Ice Arena rink is suitable for all ages. On-site there is skate hire, a variety of refreshments, and above all a relaxed atmosphere.

Ice Rink on Prague’s Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí) – from 1 December: In the heart of the city, an ice rink will once again be found this winter directly on Prague’s Wenceslas Square. The large ice surface is beautifully lit in the evenings, creating a special atmosphere. On-site there is skate hire, refreshments, and a heated tent to warm up.
