Prague Zoo is once again offering a reduced evening admission during the summer holidays. From 1 July to 31 August, visitors will pay just 100 crowns for entry after 5 pm.
The special price applies to all physical admission tickets purchased at any ticket office between 5 pm and 7 pm. The zoo gates, indoor pavilions and restaurants close at 7 pm, while the grounds themselves remain open until 9 pm.
According to Prague Zoo Director Lenka Poliaková, the promotion proved successful last year. In particular, it encouraged local residents to visit the zoo on weekdays after work and make the most of the long summer evenings.

At the same time, a later visit offers an opportunity to avoid the daytime heat. Many animals are more active during the evening hours, including Tasmanian devils, small and large cat species, wolves, wombats, fossas, tayras, coatis, red pandas and various bird species.
The evenings are particularly lively in the walk-through Africké skály aviary, the Ptačí mokřady bird wetlands exhibition and the Darwin Crater, where visitors can observe, among other animals, cockatoos and black-crowned night herons.
The holiday discount after 5 pm applies to adults, students, children, seniors and even dogs. Visitors aged over 70 are excluded, as they will continue to receive admission for the symbolic price of 1 crown.
Prague Zoo is open daily from 9 am during the summer. On hot days, a total of 28 misting systems located throughout the grounds provide cooling for both visitors and animals.
