New Tunnel Bus Route 145 to Connect Kobylisy with Dejvice from Mid-August

From 15 August 2026, bus route 145 will operate on a new route from the Čimice housing estate via Kobylisy, through the Blanka Tunnel to Hradčanská and Vítězné náměstí in Dejvice.

The new route of bus 145 is intended to significantly improve public transport connections between northern Prague and the Dejvice district. According to the timetable, the planned journey time between Kobylisy and Hradčanská will average 15 minutes. However, the actual journey time will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions. As with other tram, trolleybus and bus routes, journey times will be adjusted according to the respective traffic periods.

Route 145 will begin operating with the regular timetable rather than the longer intervals usually used during the summer holidays.

During peak hours, buses are expected to run on average every 7.5 minutes. During the busiest morning peak period, a six-minute interval is planned.

Outside peak hours and at weekends, the route will operate every 15 minutes. In the early morning and late evening, buses will run every 20 minutes.

Bus Lanes and Traffic Signal Priority Intended to Stabilise Timetable

Whether the planned journey times can be maintained in daily operation will depend particularly on priority measures for buses. In addition to measures already in place on V Holešovičkách and Svatovítská streets, further adjustments are intended to speed up traffic. These include improving the passage through Nad Šutkou and Zenklova streets. There, buses are expected to be able to drive directly onto the tram tracks.

A dedicated bus lane is also planned on Nová Povltavská Street. Before entering the Blanka Tunnel, the route will initially use the turning lane towards Troja. When traffic is being regulated, buses will be able to move ahead of cars at the traffic lights thanks to an advanced stop line.

In the opposite direction, during traffic regulation, the bus is expected to be able to enter the tunnel from the tram tracks at Špejchar, among other measures. The bus lane on Milady Horákové Street will also be reinstated.

The responsible authorities intend to monitor operations following the launch of the new connection. Further adjustments will be made where necessary to ensure that the route operates as reliably as possible without significantly affecting other traffic.

Further Changes to Routes 152 and 218

Further changes to Prague’s bus network will come into effect on 15 August alongside the new route of bus 145.

Route 152 will take over the existing route of bus 145 between the Čimice housing estate and Kobylisy. In future, it will operate via the Vozovna Kobylisy stop.

At the same time, route 218 will be extended from Nádraží Veleslavín station via Bořislavka to the Na Pískách stop. The buses will operate via Kladenská Street. The extended route will be served throughout the day and on every day of the week.
