Vinobraní na Grébovce 2026 Combines Wine Tradition and Sustainability

The traditional Vinobraní na Grébovce 2026 wine harvest festival will transform Prague 2 into a meeting place for wine lovers, music fans and families this weekend.

Prague’s Vinobraní na Grébovce 2026 wine harvest festival is taking place in Prague 2 this weekend. Alongside wine, food and music, environmental protection and sustainability are particular priorities this year.

The festival begins at náměstí Míru on Friday, 18 September. The main programme follows in Havlíčkovy sady on Saturday, 19 September.

“The wine harvest festival at Grébovka has a long tradition in Prague 2 and attracts thousands of visitors every year. I warmly invite everyone to come and enjoy the special atmosphere, sample high-quality wines and spend an enjoyable time in our beautiful park,” said the Mayor of Prague 2, Jan Korseska.

The programme includes performances by well-known artists as well as a wide selection of wines and culinary specialities. There will also be an accompanying programme for the whole family. At the same time, the festival aims to commemorate the long winemaking tradition of the Vinohrady district.

A particular focus this year is on making the event as environmentally friendly as possible. Information will be available on environmental issues, correct waste separation and more sustainable urban living. Waste will be consistently separated throughout the event. Reusable cups and environmentally friendly materials will also be used for the sale of food and drinks.

The organisers also intend to reduce resource consumption in the event’s technical operations. Energy-saving technologies will be used, along with fewer electricity generators.

“Large cultural events should not only be attractive, but should also treat their surroundings responsibly,” said Prague 2 Deputy Mayor Jan Recman. Even small steps could have a significant impact and encourage visitors to adopt more environmentally conscious habits in their everyday lives.
