Jazeera Airways to Offer Flights Between Kuwait and Prague for the First Time This Winter Season

Jazeera Airways will offer direct flights between Kuwait and Prague during the winter for the first time. The seasonal service will begin in mid-December and operate twice a week.

Kuwaiti airline Jazeera Airways is launching direct winter flights between Kuwait and Prague for the first time. The seasonal service will begin on 17 December and is scheduled to operate twice a week until 7 February 2027.

The airline is thus expanding its service to the Czech capital, which has so far mainly operated during the summer months, to include a winter schedule for the first time. According to Jazeera Airways, the service is aimed particularly at travellers during the winter school holidays and the Christmas period. Prague has already been part of the Kuwaiti low-cost airline’s European summer schedule for several years.

‘Prague has always been a very popular summer destination with our passengers. With the first winter flights to the Czech capital, we are now taking the next step,’ said Jazeera Airways CEO Barathan Pasupathi. With its Christmas markets, historic sights and seasonal events, the winter months offer visitors a different perspective on the city.

CzechTourism Aims to Attract More Visitors From the Gulf Region

CzechTourism also sees the new service as offering additional opportunities for inbound tourism to the Czech Republic. Prague is already an established destination among travellers from Kuwait during the summer months, said Barbara Andelová, who is responsible for international marketing in the Middle East and India at CzechTourism.

The winter service is intended to help position Prague and the Czech Republic more strongly as year-round destinations in Kuwait and the wider Gulf region. Alongside the historic sights, the Christmas and winter markets in the centre of the capital are among the main attractions during the colder months.

Jazeera Airways first launched its direct service between Kuwait and Prague in June 2022. Since then, the route has repeatedly been operated as part of the airline’s European summer schedule.

Founded in 2004 and based in Kuwait, the airline says it operates a network of more than 60 destinations across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa and Europe. Its fleet currently consists of 23 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family.
