New Traffic Routing at Prague Airport from Sunday
Further construction phase at the Aviatická–Lipská junction begins – changes to remain in place until the end of November 2026

Traffic routing around Prague Václav Havel Airport will change from Sunday. The reason is the next phase of construction at the Aviatická–Lipská junction, which is expected to last until the end of November.
Drivers around Prague Václav Havel Airport will have to prepare for changed traffic routing from Sunday. The Czech Road and Motorway Directorate ŘSD will begin another stage of the reconstruction of the Aviatická–Lipská junction on 27 September.
The new construction phase is expected to last until 30 November 2026 and will bring several changes to routes to and from the airport. On Aviatická Street, the current traffic arrangement with one lane in each direction will remain in place.
Getting to the Airport
From Prague city centre, access to the airport will once again be possible via Lipská Road (I/7) and the renovated entry ramp. From there, drivers will also be able to turn towards Tuchoměřice.
Those travelling from Tuchoměřice to the airport, however, will still have to use a diversion via the Kněževes motorway junction and the D7 motorway.
From the direction of Slaný, access to the airport will continue as usual via the existing ramp.

Leaving the Airport
When travelling from the airport towards Prague city centre, the current traffic routing from the previous construction phase will remain in place.
Those wishing to travel towards Tuchoměřice must either use the diversion via the Kněževes motorway junction and the D7 or initially drive towards the city centre. Another option is to turn around at the Šestka shopping centre and then take the diversion via Lipská Road.
Towards Slaný, it will once again be possible to leave the airport via the renovated ramp to Lipská Road.
Travel by Public Transport Recommended
The Road and Motorway Directorate is asking drivers to pay particular attention to the changed road signs. Travellers heading to the airport should also allow extra time for their journey. Travelling by public transport is recommended.
