With strong growth in Germany and rising demand for electric cars, Škoda is continuing its growth trajectory. New models are expected to give the Czech carmaker additional momentum.
Škoda Auto delivered more vehicles worldwide in the first nine months of 2026 and consolidated its position as Europe’s second-best-selling car brand. Germany and rising demand for electric models were the main contributors to growth.
From January to September, the Czech car manufacturer delivered 812,400 vehicles to customers worldwide. This represents an increase of 6.1 per cent compared with the same period last year. In Europe, which in this analysis comprises the EU and four other countries, Škoda consolidated its second place among the best-selling car brands, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association ACEA.

Germany remains the largest market
With 178,300 vehicles delivered and growth of 15.9 per cent, Germany remains by far Škoda’s largest market. Deliveries also increased in other major European countries: in the UK, they rose by 8.4 per cent to 71,700 vehicles, and in the Czech Republic by 4.2 per cent to 70,500.
In Poland, the brand recorded an increase of 10.4 per cent to 50,700 vehicles, while deliveries in France reached 39,800 vehicles, 10 per cent more than a year earlier. Outside Europe, India was the largest market with 53,200 vehicles delivered, followed by Turkey with 32,600.
Elroq and Enyaq among Europe’s best-selling electric cars
Demand for the brand’s electrified vehicles grew significantly. Worldwide, Škoda delivered a total of 203,100 fully electric cars and plug-in hybrids in the first three quarters – an increase of 34.7 per cent.

In Europe, almost three in ten Škoda vehicles delivered were plug-in models. Their share stood at 29.8 per cent. Deliveries of fully electric cars there rose by 41.3 per cent to 167,400 vehicles.
The Elroq and Enyaq model ranges made a substantial contribution to this. They ranked third and fourth in Europe’s electric car rankings. Škoda was therefore Europe’s fifth-best-selling electric car brand.
The Elroq topped the electric car sales rankings in Denmark, Germany and Slovakia. It ranked second in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Switzerland, and third in Poland and Austria. Worldwide, 92,200 vehicles of the model were delivered, an increase of 52.7 per cent.
The Enyaq recorded 72,700 deliveries worldwide and was the best-selling electric car in the Czech Republic. In Denmark, Austria, Slovakia, the UK and Switzerland, it was among the three best-selling electric models.

New electric models expand the range
With the introduction of the two fully electric models Epiq and Peaq, Škoda has doubled its electric car range this year. By mid-October, the company had received more than 82,000 orders for the two models combined.
The Epiq is produced in Spain, while the Peaq SUV is manufactured at Škoda’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. The brand’s range now comprises 14 model series overall – more than ever before.
The Octavia remains Škoda’s best-selling model, with 138,000 vehicles delivered, although this represents a decline of 2.9 per cent. It is followed by the Kodiaq with 107,800 vehicles and an increase of 11.9 per cent, and the Kamiq and Elroq with 92,200 vehicles each. The Fabia recorded 88,100 deliveries, a decline of 2.1 per cent.
