The third edition of the Czech Strategic Technologies catalog has been launched at the Černínský palác, the seat of Czech diplomacy. The publication showcases Czech innovations in healthcare, security, and other strategic fields, underlining their role in strengthening resilience and fostering global partnerships.
The third edition of the Czech Strategic Technologies (CST) catalog was officially introduced under the auspices of Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský and in cooperation with the Department of Economic and Scientific Diplomacy. The launch took place in the historic halls of the Černínský palác (Czernin Palace), the seat of Czech diplomacy, with the participation of representatives of companies featured in the catalog, representatives of dozens of foreign embassies, and more than one hundred distinguished guests.

At the launch, Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský said the third edition of the Czech Strategic Technologies catalog highlights healthcare and security as the main pillars of resilience. He noted that Czech innovators are using artificial intelligence in diagnostics, virtual reality in rehabilitation, and providing solutions from advanced medical devices to mobile field hospitals worldwide. In security, he pointed out, the defence industry exports over 90% of its production, offering training systems, robotic platforms, AI-based solutions, and vital equipment, with a significant contribution to Ukraine’s defence. Lipavský stressed that the success of these efforts depends on strong institutions and effective diplomacy, adding that technological progress is a necessity for safeguarding the future and that the catalog is both a national effort and an invitation to cooperate.

A Platform for Innovation and Collaboration
Czech Strategic Technologies – CST is not merely a catalog – it has become a space for meaningful collaboration. CST is a platform and a network of inspiring individuals who, together, are able to generate new projects, ideas, and innovations not only for the Czech Republic but also globally.
The publisher of the catalog, Czech artist, curator, and co-founder of the Embassies’ Festival Food & Culture, Pavel Šťastný, highlighted the cross-sector dimension of the publication: “A big thanks goes to both associations for their cooperation. This nearly 300-page catalog presents top Czech strategic technologies as well as other key areas – from space to investment and culture. As an artist, I believe culture connects people across professions, generations, faiths, and nations. Culture unites,” Šťastný said.

Czech Strategic Technologies
The first edition of the catalog was published in 2022, and since then Czech Strategic Technologies (CST) has become an effective instrument of Czech economic diplomacy. Spanning nearly 300 pages and edited in English, it presents the most advanced Czech solutions in healthcare, security, standardisation, industry and sustainability, transport and space, investment, start-ups, and culture. The catalog is published in cooperation with, and under the auspices of, the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Transport, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Czech Agency for Standardisation (ČAS).
The catalog accompanies diplomatic missions, is available at Czech embassies worldwide, and is regularly showcased at major international trade fairs and cultural festivals, including the Embassies’ Festival in Prague.

The third edition focuses on resilience in times of geopolitical crises. It features projects such as the treatment of PTSD in individuals affected by the war in Ukraine, in cooperation with Psychedelics Europe, and highlights Czech contributions to space technologies, with the Czech Republic being an active member of the European Space Agency (ESA) and host to the EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA).
An expanded cultural section showcases music, festivals, and design. A notable highlight is the project Wall of Freedom & Energy / Lennon Wall Prague, presented this year in Prague and Olomouc following its European tour in Paris and Strasbourg. With this initiative, CST marked 45 years since the creation of Prague’s Lennon Wall with a series of commemorative events.
