
Police investigate riots after Prague derby “S”: Multiple criminal proceedings launched
Investigators are currently analysing numerous video recordings and are calling on fans involved to voluntarily report to the police

Following the abandoned Prague derby on Saturday evening, the police investigation is continuing at full speed. Among the main areas under investigation are the pitch invasion, attacks on players and extensive damage to property at the stadium of SK Slavia Praha.
Following the serious disturbances surrounding the Prague derby between SK Slavia Praha and AC Sparta Praha on Saturday evening, investigators have launched several criminal proceedings. Police announced the update on Monday as part of the current state of the investigation.
Investigations are currently under way in connection with the attack on a goalkeeper on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Detectives are also dealing with the pitch invasion by numerous fans as well as the targeting of the away section with pyrotechnics. In both cases, investigations are being conducted on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
In addition, the authorities are investigating significant property damage inside the stadium. Among the damaged items are LED advertising panels between the spectator area and the pitch. The damage is provisionally estimated at several hundred thousand crowns.

Further investigations concern damaged toilet facilities and stadium seats. Criminal proceedings for property damage have also been initiated in these cases.
According to police, dozens of camera recordings are currently being analysed. Investigators have also requested additional video material from media outlets in order to identify all individuals involved.
Several suspects have already been identified, according to police. These include individuals allegedly involved in the attack on the goalkeeper, as well as other fans suspected of violating the law.
Police also called on all individuals who entered the pitch during the match or were involved in other unlawful acts to voluntarily report themselves via the police emergency number 158.
