Smartwings Launches New Direct Flights from Prague to Bergen and Venice

Smartwings is continuing to expand its route network from Prague. With the start of the 2026/2027 winter timetable, the airline will launch new direct services to Venice and Bergen.

From 22 October 2026, Smartwings will operate regular flights from Prague to Venice. The route will be served four times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The airline is thereby strengthening its presence in the Italian market and expanding its range of direct flights to one of Europe's most popular city-break destinations.

From 26 October 2026, another new route will be added, with Smartwings launching regular flights to Bergen, Norway's second-largest city and an important gateway to the country's famous fjords. The Prague–Bergen route will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

Bergen will become a new Nordic destination within Smartwings' scheduled network. The airline aims not only to offer Czech travellers new direct connections, but also to make it easier for international visitors to travel to the Czech Republic.

"The expansion of our scheduled network is part of our long-term strategy to strengthen Prague's air links with attractive European destinations. Bergen and Venice are among the most sought-after travel destinations. We believe these new direct services will be appreciated not only by Czech travellers, but also by international visitors travelling to the Czech Republic," said Michal Váňa, Sales Director at Smartwings.

The new routes to Bergen and Venice complement further changes to the 2026/2027 winter timetable. From 23 October 2026, Smartwings will also launch new direct flights from Prague to Lisbon. At the same time, the number of weekly flights to Porto, Bilbao and Toulouse will increase from two to three. In addition, the route to Nice, previously operated only during the summer season, will now also be available throughout the winter.
