On Saturday, 13 December 2025, a pedestrian bridge over the tracks at the new Praha-Výstaviště railway station in Prague 7 was named after the honorary citizen and music educator Pavel Jurkovič. At the same time, a provisional new footpath from U Studánky street towards Stromovka Park and the station platform was opened.

The naming of the bridge, which was opened this summer as part of the Bubny–Výstaviště line modernisation by Správa železnic, was initiated by the Pavel Jurkovič Jurkovič Society in collaboration with the Prague 7 district. Pavel Jurkovič was a distinguished singer, composer, and music educator who taught at FZŠ Umělecká from 1977 to 1996 and established classes with extended music instruction there.

In conjunction with the bridge opening, Prague 7 is working on a new footpath linking U Studánky street with Stromovka Park and the station platform. The route follows the previous connection between the primary school and kindergarten but has been slightly adjusted to ensure a natural link to the two historic buildings.

The surfaces have already been completed, so the path can now be provisionally opened to the public. However, visitors are advised that construction work is still ongoing and to exercise caution when using the path, following any instructions from the workers.

Work on fencing and other elements continues. At the same time, the playground at FZŠ Umělecká is being revitalised and will also be accessible to the public in the future. Completion of all works is scheduled for spring 2026.
