
Nearly 100 Fans Identified Following Pitch Invasion at Prague Derby

Police are continuing their investigation into the serious disturbances that occurred during the derby between Slavia Prague and Sparta Prague. Two people have already been charged, while further suspects are still being sought.
Following the abandoned Prague derby between Slavia Prague and Sparta Prague, police have identified nearly 100 people who entered the pitch during the match. The individuals concerned have been reported to the relevant administrative authority. They face fines of up to CZK 10,000 for breaching public order.
The match at the Eden Stadium was abandoned on 9 May 2026 following serious crowd disturbances. Slavia supporters invaded the pitch during stoppage time, attacked several Sparta players and threw pyrotechnics towards the away section. At the time of the abandonment, Slavia were leading 3–2.

Two people have since been charged on suspicion of disorderly conduct. One of them is also accused of making dangerous threats. According to police, the incident concerned took place on the pitch and involved the visiting team's goalkeeper. If convicted, the suspects could face up to two years in prison.
The use of pyrotechnics is also still under investigation. Several individuals are likewise suspected of disorderly conduct in connection with these incidents. Police are also searching for additional masked individuals who are alleged to have used pyrotechnics. Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact police on 158.

Derby “S” decided: Slavia Prague loses by default
The league's disciplinary commission subsequently awarded the abandoned match to Sparta by a 3–0 scoreline. Slavia were also fined CZK 10 million and ordered to play four home matches behind closed doors. The club's eventual league title was overshadowed by the consequences of the derby scandal.
